In cooperation with solar panel manufacturers, Seoul will support the installation of rooftop solar power plants in small-scale apartment complexes. The city decided to introduce subsidies for solar power plants for citizens who cannot use a fan, air conditioner, or other means to cool their air because of energy costs. 27 apartments were equipped with solar energy, the pilot project was decided to continue. By 2022, 9,000 solar panels of 300 watts per apartment will be installed for 4,500 apartments.
